CHECK-IN for Sunday services HERE or the easiest way to check-in is on the OC App directly from the Sunday tab. Select who is here and which service you’re attending. Please Note: Services are available for check-in on the App two hours prior and 30 minutes after the service time. It’s quick & easy!! If you choose not to use the OC App and you're with us in-person, just complete the Welcome Card in the seat back pocket. Then drop the card into one of the baskets outside the Worship Center doors. If you experience any issues with check-in from the App, please stop by Connection Point for further assistance.   


NEW THIS WEEK

  • LOCAL2GLOBAL MINISTRY TRIP TO HONDURAS - We’re organizing two mission trips to Honduras in partnership with Casey Bauer, our Global Partner in the region. The trips are scheduled for August 2–9 and September 20–27, and both will involve the same kind of work and physical activity. This is an outdoor, labor-focused mission. If you’re interested in learning more, please fill out the application HERE or on the OC App. Pastor Adam Sewell will follow-up with all the interested applicants.
  • NEW WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP - A new four-week study begins on Sunday May 18 during the 11am hour in Room 401A/B. “The Life You Long For” by Christy Nockels, will help you discover your highest calling not in a duty to uphold, but in a beautiful identity to live out. Join in discussion, prayer and fellowship. This is an ongoing group that meets on Sundays, usually every other week. Register HERE, on the OC App, or stop by Connection Point on Sunday morning.  
  • OC YOUTH ON THE APP - NEW! Your go-to spot for all things OC Youth is now LIVE on the OC App! Tap into the OC Youth page under “Sunday” for events, sign-ups, updates, and more. There is more to come, keep checking back!  
  • IMPORTANT: NEW KEY CARD SYSTEM INSTALLED - We’ve upgraded the key card system at the Otterbein Park restrooms. As of May 1, all key cards issued prior to May 1, 2025, will be deactivated. To request a new key card, click HERE to complete the form or visit the Sunday tab on the OC App. You can also request a card in person at Connection Point beginning May 11. Thank you for helping us keep our facilities secure and accessible!

  • SUNDAY ADULT CLASS | DISCUSSING YOUR FAITH - The Friends of Faith Adult Class will begin a new study during the 9:30 a.m. hour TODAY-- Sunday, April 27. This 8-week video-based course will equip you to discuss your faith and convictions with others. The study uses the curriculum Tactics by Gregory Koukl, and will meet in Room 107 in the OC Chapel Basement. Sign up HERE, on the OC App, or at Connection Point.   • BAPTISM WORKSHOP | MAY 4 - The next opportunity to attend a Baptism Workshop will be held on May 4 at 11:00 a.m. in the OC Groups wing, Room 402. This workshop will help you record your salvation journey and teach the meaning of baptism. It is a requirement for all high school students and adults who wish to be baptized. Our next baptism service is planned for May 25. Register HERE or on the OC App.
  • PARENT CHILD DEDICATIONS | MAY 11 - We will have Parent/Child Dedications on Mother’s Day, May 11. If you are interested in having your child dedicated, please complete the Parent/Child Dedication Application HERE or on the OC App. Applications are also available at Connection Point in the lobby. Applications need to be completed no later than May 4. Please contact Pastor Mark Green at mark.green@otterbeinchurch.org if you have any questions. 
  • VBS 2025 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - Join our VBS 2025 Volunteer Team! At this year’s VBS (June 9-12) we’ll share what it truly means to love like Jesus—not just in words, but through our actions. In a world filled with hurt and division, we have the incredible opportunity to LIVE IT OUT and share the Good News of Jesus with those around us.   • VBS CHILD REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN - Our VBS is open to all children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade during the 2024-2025 school year! Join us for VBS June 9-12 as we learn to LIVE IT OUT and share the Good News of Jesus with those around us. Preschoolers entering kindergarten in August of 2025 are invited to join us on Thursday, June 12, for a special VBS Preschool Preview Night along with a parent or guardian.   • ATTENTION SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS - Would you be interested in helping Faith Builders Day Care this summer by periodically driving a bus for our school-age summer program? Hours are flexible. If you would like to apply, complete the form HERE, on the OC App, or stop by Connection Point. 
  • EASTER OUTREACH MEAL UPDATE — A BIG THANK YOU to everyone that contributed to this outreach event; through giving, volunteer hours and baking homemade cookies! We were honored to provide 246 families with everything they needed to cook their own Easter meal, and 225 individuals took home single-serve meals. In addition, we were able to spend time with almost 300 individuals during breakfast. What an incredible opportunity to share the love of Jesus in a tangible way. Thank YOU for the overwhelming response—from those eager to serve and to everyone who gave so generously to make this outreach possible. Please continue to pray for those that received the meal. Pray that each person we served felt uplifted and truly valued through this blessing. Most of all, pray they come to know the greatest gift of all: a relationship with Jesus, our Savior.

  • COLLEGE AGE ADULTS (18-25) | APRIL 27 - Join us at Pastor Dwight's house on Sunday, April 27 at 6:00 p.m. We're having an Egg Hunt! We connect each week over food, fellowship, and Bible study. Questions? Email dwight.karkan@otterbeinchurch.org.  
  • OC YOUTH CREW | APRIL 30 - Join us at the OC Youth Building from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • FREEDOM RIDERS MOTORCYCLE GROUP | MAY 18 - Join a group from Otterbein for a group ride on Sunday, May 18. The group will leave from the church parking lot at 1:00 p.m. EVERYONE WHO RIDES IS WELCOME whether they attend Otterbein Church, or not. If you are interested in going on the ride, learning more about the May route, and/or seeing the dates of future rides, sign up HERE, on the OC App, or stop by Connection Point.   • HOMETOWN HAPPENINGS - We are excited to introduce a new initiative to help local non-profit organizations share their upcoming events, camps, and retreats with the community! We believe in the power of connection and want to provide a platform where organizations can reach more people and make a greater impact. BIBLE READING PLAN

  • Join us as we read through the Gospel of John. The Daily Bible Reading Plan is available on the OC App and at facebook.com/groups/ocdevotionals. Simply click "Join" to have it appear on your newsfeed. If you’ve enabled notifications for “Bible Reading Plan/Devotions” in the OC App, you’ll receive a daily reminder at 7:00 a.m. with a link to that day’s devotional. You can also download a copy of the Bible Reading Plan each week at otterbeinchurch.org/bible-reading-plans. Join us as we grow together in God’s Word!


OTHER NEWS & INFORMATION

  • OTTERBEIN SMALL GROUPS - Otterbein has many different small group environments where people connect with others and learn biblical principles for life. Groups include Men's Base Camp, Men's Groups, Women's Groups, Sunday Message Discussion Groups, and Adult Bible Classes. Groups meet on various days and at different times, some meeting weekly and others meeting less frequently. 
  • TEXT ALERTS AND OC APP NOTIFICATIONS - The best way to get notifications regarding service and event cancellations/changes is to sign up for TEXT ALERTS and/or have notifications turned on in the OC APP. You can sign up for TEXT ALERTS by texting 94000 (enter where you would type a phone number or the person’s name) and putting the keyword OCINFO In the OC APP, go to the profile section and click on the icon that looks like a stack of paper under the “My Giving” icon. Be sure to select GENERAL notifications and any other categories from which you want to receive messages.
  • ALL THINGS OTTERBEIN AT YOUR FINGERTIPS - We encourage you to download the OC APP where you can complete the Welcome Card, give online, read the announcements, share a prayer request, find message notes, register, and sign up for events, watch last week’s service, and much more!   • RAMSEY+ FINANCIAL RESOURCES - Otterbein has partnered with Dave Ramsey to offer a great tool for helping you take control of your money and get rid of your debt for good. With Ramsey+, you get a step-by-step plan and the tools to help you pay off debt faster, so you can finally spend and save how you want—worry-free. Ramsey+ includes the Financial Peace University course (on demand) along with many other great resources. Sign up HERE for this free resource.   • CHECK OUT RIGHTNOW MEDIA - Otterbein has partnered with RightNow Media to provide you free access to a huge, streaming, online, access-on-any-device library of over 10,000 video Bible studies, leadership videos, kids shows, and more. To sum it up — it’s like the Netflix of Bible study videos and Christian entertainment. You will have FREE access to thousands of video resources to help you with parenting, marriage, finances, spiritual growth, leadership development, and more. It includes content for all ages and stages of life, and all of your family members are invited to set up their own accounts. Click HERE to start watching right away. 
  • PACKS OF OFFERING ENVELOPES AVAILABLE - Packs of offering envelopes are available at Connection Point in the Church lobby for anyone desiring to use them to give their offering or you can contact the church office at info@otterbeinchurch.org or 717.762.7147 for more information or to request envelopes. 
  • Have you joined the "OTTERBEIN ONLINE" Facebook group? Facebook has made some changes to its algorithms over the past several months and there is a good chance you are not seeing information from Otterbein Church on your newsfeed. The best way to make sure you see Otterbein News when it is posted on Facebook is to be part of the OTTERBEIN ONLINE group. If you are, anything posted will appear near the top of your newsfeed. Here is a link to the group. If you need help finding the group or aren't sure how to join, contact us at info@otterbeinchurch.org and we will assist you.
  • The Otterbein Church Park Community Center Gym on Welty Road is open Monday-Friday mornings from 7:45-9:45 a.m. for anyone interested in walking for exercise. If you have any questions, please contact the church office by phone at 717-762-7147 or by email.
